A range of finishes can be produced on wood by adjusting the power of the laser, as it passes over the surface a higher contrast finish can be achieved by increasing the power level. This technique can also be used when vector engraving by adjusting the speed of the laser and number of passes over the material greater depth can be produced for a 2D effect.
